What makes your films unique?
Our desire to tell stories using not only high quality visuals but also high quality audio. We tend to stray away from "music video" wedding films, as we firmly believe that spoken dialog is key to telling your story in an authentic way.
Who is your ideal client?
We love couples that have a story to tell. Our ideal client incorporates their personalities into the wedding so that we can convey a sense of who they are, along with the emotions of the wedding day. We firmly believe that love is love and are proud to serve couples of all cultures and orientations.
Can i choose my own music?
The short answer is no, not really. The long answer is, you don't want to. For a variety of legal reasons, every song we use in our films must be licensed by the artist and sadly not all artists are willing to license their music. We strive to create a very specific tone and tempo throughout your film and music is a very important part of this process. Using a variety of hand picked selections, we attempt enhance the natural story and emotion of the day. If we were unable to select songs that fit with the direction of the film, the story would not feel cohesive or natural. That being said, if you have a specific song or artist that you absolutely cannot stand, or something you loved about a film you’ve already seen, we will certainly try to take that into consideration when editing your film.
What is the turn around time?
We strive to create films that are unique to each couple. From getting to know you, to choosing the perfect blend of music that fits your story – we handcraft each film to build a one-of-a-kind story. Our turnaround times vary depending on the time of year, but you can generally expect to be able to view your film no later than 4-6 months.
Can I have the RAW footage?
Sure, but you probably don't want it. Raw footage is not what most people believe it is. The Raw files straight off of the camera are not in a format that is easily viewable by most people. The files need to be interpreted by expensive software and colored before they arrive in the end format you are familiar with. For this reason, most of our collections have the "documentary edit" included. This is very close to raw footage and represents the major events in your wedding, in real time, without any editing or music. If you still desire the actual raw files, they are available to purchase.
How do you ensure high quality audio during my ceremony?
We use professional grade lav (lapel) microphones on the groom and officiant during your ceremony to capture the clearest audio possible. We take great care to hide our microphones so that they are not visible in your photos and film.
How do you ensure high quality audio during my reception?
This is where things get interesting. During your reception your speakers will most likely be using your Band or DJs audio equipment. We grab a "line out" feed from the DJ or Band's mixing board. Usually, this works great. However, not all audio equipment is created equal and some will give less than desirable results. In rare or extreme cases we may ask you to allow us to use the same lav microphones that we used during your ceremony. As an absolute fail safe our cameras also have on board shotgun microphones.
Do you require a deposit?
We require a flat rate deposit of $1000 to hold your date, with the remaining balance due two weeks before the event.
